Thanks, Admin,
The trial of Casey Anthony has started with much media hype. The process of selection of jury members for the murder trial of Casey Anthony began earlier today from a list of potential jurors who hail from Tampa, Florida. The final location where the selection process commenced, however, was not announced considering, what was described by Judge Perry, who will preside over the hearing, as oversaturated media interest.
It is claimed that the courts received 600 requests for media credentials which is being touted as a number that surpasses the credentials in the O.J. Simpson case.
In order to prevent extreme media interest in the dealings of the case, Judge Perry proposed to give the media the information about the jurors' location if they signed a confidentiality agreement which was challenged in a Federal Court by a motion that was later upheld. However the same court also ruled in favor of keeping the location of the selection process a secret.
During the jury selection, Casey Anthony burst into tears as the charges were called out by Judge Perry. The case first gained attention when her child Caylee was reported missing in 2008. However evidence was unearthed that the report was filed by mother Casey after almost a month of anyone last seeing Caylee. Subsequently Caylee's remains were found buried in an area close to Casey Anthony's parent's house in Orlando. Casey was charged with first degree murder and a count of child abuse. The prosecution is understood to be calling for a death penalty. The trial is currently being streamed live through the Internet, when the court is [...]

In my last article I mentioned Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). A lot of people asked me: What does it mean? But before I answer that, let me first explain the concept of "conversion."
In marketing lingo, when a prospective customer takes the marketer’s intended action, that is what we call conversion. This can be a visitor filling up your contact form, downloading your brochure, buying something from your website, registering for a webinar or any similar action.
A “Conversion Rate” is the percentage of unique visitors who take a desired action upon visiting a website. Conversion Rate Optimization is the art and science of creating a website experience that will increasing these unique visitors with the goal of turning them into customers.
It sounds pretty simple. And logical. It's a concept that was borne out of a need to improve website results for e-commerce and lead generating websites. Currently this service is generating a lot of buzz. You see, marketers feel that instead of spending more money on their internet marketing, they should first try and improve their website’s conversion rates. But how does that work?
A real world example
You may have noticed that many companies display their awards, certifications and press mentions in their lobby or conference room. Why do they do that? So that visitors get a better impression of their company. And, other [...]
Renowned Chinese poet and author, Liao Yiwu, was denied a visa to Australia from the Chinese Government where he was invited to be a part of the Sydney Writer's Festival.
After being denied what was essentially an exit Visa, Liao expressed his disappointment by saying that the most formidable challenge before the Chinese was the pangs of system that is ruthlessly authoritarian in nature. The refusal from the communist country's Government comes in the wake of a fierce crackdown by the party on dissent. Liao is a known critic of the Chinese Government as he writes about the poverty plaguing the nation in his works quite often.
Due to speak in the Festival about his 2008 book title Corpse Walker, which consisted of 27 interviews with various people who grew up seeing the poverty stricter side of China, Liao has recently put pen to paper on a publishing deal with HarperCollins. The deal is for his next work, a book titled, "God is Red: The Secret Story of How Christianity Survived and Flourishes in Communist China."
Liao has thus been denied exit visa on17 different occasions now. It was only in 1999 that the German government through its persistence had a visa issued for Liao from the Chinese Government. Though Liao said it would be unfair to hope for the same from the Australian government, he also said that he will pray the two governments do talk about it when they meet for talks on business proposals in the near future.
Today, all the channels were busy in showing the exit poll West Bengal 2011 results. Elections were held in the five states of West Bengal, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Poducherry and Assam. Results are expected to be declared on May 13th.
As per the exit poll West Bengal 2011 results the Trinamool Congress and Congress Alliance is all set to sweep the assembly elections in West Bengal. The TMC-Congress alliance under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee is ready for a clean sweep in this red citadel.
In Tamilnadu, AIADMK under Jayalalitha is expected to assume power after a tough fight with the DMK. In Kerala, UDF led by Congress is all set to capture power and Assam could give Congress a third verdict, but with a hung mandate.
But it will be a complete sweep for TMC-Congress alliance in West Bengal. Out of 294 seats in West Bengal, TMC-Congress alliance is all set to get around 220-240 seats. Going by the trends of exit polls West Bengal 2011 results, it will be a great victory for Mamta Banerjee and complete rout of the Left from West Bengal.
In Tamilnadu, AIADMK may get around 130 seats and DMK around 114 seats. In Assam, Congress is expected to get around 64 to 72 seats and Tarun Gogoi is expected to return as Chief Minister of Assam.
If the exit polls West Bengal 2011 results come true, then number of Left MP's in the Rajya Sabha will get reduced to a great extent and Left is definitely going to lose voice much on issues of national politics.
They definitely won't be back, not after announcing an end to there sometimes turbulent relationship that lasted a whole 25 years. The former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger or the "Governator" as he was sometimes called and his wife Maria Shriver tied the knot way back in 1986. Since then, they spent 25 years of what the couple said was "a time of great personal and professional transition" for them as per their joint statement issued by the couple right after they split up publicly on Monday.
The announcement put an end to what was always referred to as a fairytale wedding between Maria, who is the niece of an ex U.S. President and the man who was recently hitting Hollywood with some beefy roles in films like "Pumping Iron". It seemed very unlikely that the two would last particularly as she was brought up in a dynasty of Democrat representatives and he always was a Republican fond of Richard Nixon. Yet they made it work for a long time that is until now. Rumor has it that a lot was going wrong when Arnold ran for Governor and won, as Maria was not keen on him taking up the job.
The couple is still working out the future of their relationship which now centers on their four children Christopher, 13, Patrick, 17, Christina, 19 and Katherine, 21. They said they will still parent their children together. Daniel Ketchell, Arnold's spokesperson, refused to say anything beyond the statement issued by the couple, so right now it is hard to tell who will get custody of their kids.
India is ratcheting up pressure on Pakistan ahead of next week's terrorism trial in the U.S., releasing a document that alleges the Inter-Services Intelligence spy agency was directly involved in the attacks on Mumbai in 2008.
The move comes as Pakistan is facing accusations from the U.S. and India that some element of the military must have helped hide al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, who was killed last week in a secret raid by U.S. Navy SEALs on a house only four kilometers from the elite Pakistan Military Academy in Abbottabad.
A court in Chicago will begin hearings this month in the trial of seven men alleged to have aided David Coleman Headley, the Pakistani-American who has pleaded guilty of scouting sites for the Mumbai attacks, which led to the deaths of more than 160 people, including six Americans.
On Monday, India's home ministry published a document that lists details about defendants added to the charge sheet on April 25 by the U.S. Department of Justice.
These include a man known only as "Major Iqbal." The Indian document refers to him as "suspected to be a Pakistani ISI officer w [...]
