Prominent voices insist the window of a two-state solution continues to narrow as successive US administrations blindly condone Tel Aviv's actions
It was fortuitous that three prominent Americans spoke within days of each other to full-house audiences at three different think-tanks in Washington, blasting Israeli policies and the blatant favouritism of American administrations towards Israel and a failure to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, now in its 64th year. Shockingly, US media neglected the harsh criticism voiced within a mile's radius of the White House.
The prominent American speakers were James A. Baker III, secretary of state during the Reagan administration (1989-1992); Chas W. Freeman, Jr., a former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia and President Barack Obama's nominee as chairman of the powerful National Intelligence Council, but whose abrupt withdrawal from his appointment, in the view of Politico, "show[ed] Obama's reluctance to signal a change to US policy in the Middle East that centres on standing beside Israel;" and Dr John Mearsheimer, professor of political science at the University of Chicago and co-author of The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy, a New York Times best-seller.
Scott Campbell Films Police Shooting At Occupy Oakland: Video Sparks National Outrage (VIDEO)

A police attack against Oakland man Scott Campbell has drawn national attention and outrage after Campbell released a video of the incident on YouTube.
Early Thursday morning after Occupy Oakland's general strike, Campbell filmed police officers as they surrounded the remaining protesters. According to Campbell, an officer asked him to step back as he approached the police line with a video camera. Campbell obliged, and then began filming about ten feet from the officers. On the video, Campbell can be heard asking "is this OK?" twice. Several seconds later, an officer shoots him with what appears to be a rubber bullet.
After Campbell released the video, national voices including the New York Daily News and Keith Olbermann expressed outrage at the apparent randomness of the attack. According to the New York Daily News, Campbell was shot "for apparently no reason."
"[Was there] any warning?" asked Olbermann on his show Countdown with Keith Olbermann during an interview with Campbell. "Any indication that they were about to move?"
"No, there was absolutely no warning whatsoever," answered Campbell. "There was no order to disperse; there was no warning that weapons might be used."
"It reminds me of some of those black humor comedy sketches where the cop shoots and then says, 'stop or I'll shoot' after shooting," said Olbermann.

US Weapons 'Full Of Fake Chinese Parts' -- The TelegraphThousands of United States' warplanes, ships and missiles contain fake electronic components from China, leaving them open to malfunction, according to a US Senate committee.
The US Senate Armed Services Committee said its researchers had uncovered 1,800 cases in which the Pentagon had been sold electronics that may be counterfeit.
In total, the committee said it had found more than a million fake parts had made their way into warplanes such as the Boeing C-17 transport jet and the Lockheed Martin C-130J "Super Hercules".
It also found fake components in Boeing's CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter and the Theatre High-Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) missile defence system.

The terror drone raid was carried out Wednesday morning near Kismayo in southern Somalia, leaving six people dead and 70 women and girls that were fleeing the area toward Kismayo wounded. The US has expanded the number of its aerial assassination attacks by unmanned remote-controlled aircraft in Somalia, which is suffering a disastrous famine. Consequently, many civilians have fallen victim to the non-UN-sanctioned assassination assaults. Somalia has become the sixth country where the US military has engaged in unauthorized aerial bombing campaigns through the use of its remote-controlled aircraft. The United States has also deployed its assassination drones for aerial attacks in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Iraq, and Yemen. Washington claims the airstrikes target anti-American militants, though civilians are the main victims of such attacks.
