Auckland vs Somerset Champions League T20 2011 Live Streaming

Watch Auckland vs Somerset live streaming of Champions League T20 2011 qualifying match on 20th Sep at 14.30 GMT.

Auckland: They did everything but win their first match against Kolkata. And there might be a few members of the Aces team who are still wondering how they managed to stuff up a chase of just 121 in a Twenty20 match. Auckland did have a few positives from the match, notably the performance of their bowlers. Kyle Mills, Michael Bates and Andre Adams all had good outings, while Chris Martin too didn't seem off-colour. The area for worry for Auckland is the batting. True, they didn't have the best of luck, with Martin Guptill run-out without facing a ball, but given the low total to chase, even the loss of their best batsman in unfortunate circumstances should have been overcome. The consolation for Auckland will be that they ran a team that was very strong on paper, very close and have shown that they are not uncomfortable with playing on Indian pitches.

Somerset: Somerset have landed without a few of their key players in Marcus Trecothick, while Craig Kieswetter and Jos Buttler are reportedly unavailable for selection owing to England duties. However, in spite of the depleted side, Somerset have enough in their ranks to look forward to a good battle. Their biggest strength is likely to be their range of slower bowlers, with Murali Kartik leading the way. Kartik has long been plying his trade in the county circuit after being repeatedly passed over for the Indian team selection, and he has done so with some distinction. They also have the exciting young George Dockerell who impressed everyone when he played for Ireland in the World Cup earlier this year, alongwith the experienced Roelof van der Merwe who is no stranger to Indian Twenty20 competition. The side will be led by Alfonso Thomas in the absence of Trescothick.
