Part1
Kids are talking about the fireworks they played with, Basanth enquires about food as they are getting hungry, someone has come with a courier for Basanth, they all think that its from their maasa. They see that everyone has got separate gifts and a letter, Their maasa writes there is a condition that she wants the husband and wife to give the gifts to one another. Bhairon calls Sumitra and gives her the gift which are watches and sugna says that they both both put it on the other, so they oblige.
Part2
Then its Genha's turn and she goes to get their gift which are rings and they put it on each other as well and everyone claps. Sugna also gets gifts of bracelets and Shyam puts it on her and she does the same as well. The last dabba is for Anandi, which is a heart necklace and it has a picture of Jagat on the inside of the heart, family look saddened upon seeing this, Anandi reads the letter stating that the picture with Jagat, Anandi will wear and the picture with Anandi, jagat will wear. Anandi replies that the locket is very nice. Sugna tells Anandi that she is invited to their house with Nandu as well, Sugna has a loving conversation about Bhai Duj with Nandu and how Nandu has no money to gift anything.
Anandi is sitting alone on the rocking chair looking contemplative.
Part3
Sugna comes and talks to Anandi how everyone loves her. Anandi replies that its because of them that she has not broken yet and they are her strength. But she states that there is still sadness and emptiness in her life. She has tried very hard that she busy herself that she does not have time to think about her loneliness, but nothing seems to work.
