Well, at least in terms of prospective transfers, that could be true. The latest Sunderland acquisition Connor Wickham is really delighted to have signed up for Sunderland from Championship side Ipswich, after a minor tug of war between Sunderland, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham. Wickham has been magnificent, scoring the winning goal against Spain in the European Championship last summer. According to Wickham, he is pleased to have signed for Sunderland, and looks forward to playing in the big league next season. Black Cats manager Steve Bruce admitted it was hard trying to fight off the likes of Liverpool and the Gunners to the signature of Connor, and is happy they managed to sign the young lad.. As a matter of fact, he also suits their style of play, ad they are looking to get down to work when the training gets underway in a few days.
