Red Beads Necklace

These days I am so tied up with my work and preparing for my exhibition, that I am not having time to post.

Here is one necklace made from red beads.

These are China Beads available in red, green, light blue, black and coral colours. I have used gold beads which are hollow and look like filigree beads. The pendant is tear drop shaped glass one. These pendants are available in many sizes and shapes and also in glass, crystal and fibre(?), pearls etc.

Oh! By the way some of my friends have asked about where to get the pendants, beads etc. These are available in shops that sell jewellery or material for jewellery and also shops where they sell novelties or accessories for ladies like ear studs, danglers, pendants, brooches, bangles etc. Pendant sets that is with matching ear rings are also available. A new rejuvenating theme ...

The DKV blog had been running in the classic theme which was launched by Google around 2006. This theme seriously lacked ability to add dynamic widgets and features on the fly in the blog. We were really hard-pressed in time to make necessary changes to the blog.

Had a little time today and scheduled by my Zoho Sheet, updated the them. Along with this change, I have also linked the 'Contact Us' page which is the same as in the parent website too. With this, the email addresses in the blog had to be bid adieu making this weblog Spam-free one. The widgets and the theme are also HTML5 compliant.

Please send in your concrete suggestions, healthy criticisms and feature requests. We may not able individually respond to the messages however rest assured they are duly investigated for feasibility of their fitment into the website/blog framework.

Neil Armstrong bio graphy

Neil Alden Armstrong (born August 5, 1930[1]) is an American aviator and former astronaut, test pilot, aerospace engineer, university professor, and United States Naval Aviator. He was the first person to set foot on the Moon.

Before becoming an astronaut, Armstrong was in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War. After the war, he served as a test pilot at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) High-Speed Flight Station, now known as the Dryden Flight Research Center, where he flew over 900 flights in a variety of aircraft. As a research pilot, Armstrong served as project pilot on the F-100 Super Sabre A and C variants, F-101 Voodoo, and the Lockheed F-104A Starfighter. He also flew the Bell X-1B, Bell X-5, North American X-15, F-105 Thunderchief, F-106 Delta Dart, B-47 Stratojet, KC-135 Stratotanker and Paresev. He graduated from Purdue University and the University of Southern California.

A participant in the U.S. Air Force's Man In Space Soonest and X-20 Dyna-Soar human spaceflight programs, Armstrong joined the NASA Astronaut Corps in 1962. His first spaceflight was the NASA Gemini 8 mission in 1966, for which he was the command pilot, becoming one of the first U.S. civilians to fly in space. On this mission, he performed the first manned docking of two spacecraft with pilot David Scott. Armstrong's second and last spaceflight was as mission commander of the Apollo 11 moon landing mission on July 20, 1969. On this mission, Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin descended to the lunar surface and spent 2½ hours exploring while Michael Collins remained in orbit in the Command Module. For his spaceflights, Armstrong received the Congressional Space Medal of Honor.

Sony Ericsson W8 New walkman branded smartphone specs

Sony's Walkman is one of the more well-known brands when it comes to devices dealing with audio and video playback while on the move; as such, it is understandable that Japanese company is not about to let such an established brand fade to oblivion. And in what seems to be the best proof of Sony's commitment to the Walkman brand, the company has just announced the availability of yet another Walkman-branded smartphone, the W8, which Sony claims combines "Walkman functionality with smartphone fundamentals".

Sony Ericsson claims that the W8 Walkman phone features a unique user interface similar to the one found on its Xperia mini product lineup, and that it can reportedly be user-customised for one-touch access to their most commonly used applications. In addition, the company has confirmed that the W8 will also come bundled with various standard features such as a 3.2 megapixel camera and wireless connectivity via 3G and WiFi, along with various other Walkman staples such as a Walkman-themed UI and widgets, while the smartphone's display is provided by a three-inch capacitive touchscreen capable of HVGA resolutions, which Sony Ericsson claims is perfect for mobile gaming, browsing the web or watching Youtube videos.

The W8's hardware is a little less impressive though; Sony Ericsson has confirmed that the W8 will feature a 600MHz processor and up to 128MB of built in memory, although the company was quick to point out that users can always expand the phone's available storage with the use of microSD cards of up to 16GB.

Last but definitely not least, Sony Ericsson has announced that the W8 will be pre-loaded with version 2.1 (Eclair) of the Android operating system, along with support for the Android Market, although it made no mention about any possibility of a firmware upgrade to newer versions of Android. Secular Exploitation of Temples

For the past one week, the hereditary Thiruvananthapuram Sri Ananthapadmanabha Swamy temple is being ransacked by a team of administration officials under the pretext of unearthing concealed secret treasures and as a part of 'stock-taking process'.

What may be the reason behind this 'diplomatic pilferage' of our Hindu temples by the so-called secularists?
After all they have been looting the temples from time immemorial and using it to satisfy their own bestial instincts claiming to spend on secularist purposes.

Perhaps just like our Indian Banks organize the so-called deposit mobilisation drives swiss banks should have announced something and hence is a mad rush amongst the politicians to fill up their private coffers. However, the so-called people's representatives seemed to have forgotten one perspective of the reality that in this process they are also packing their coffins with enough sins to be greeted by Lord Yama ('the Lord of Death') with a red carpet welcome according to the principles of 'Garuda Purana' in order to glorify and garland them with the following due respects:

Lakshmi Locket Jewellery

This is the month of Ashadha as per our Calendar. The coming month is Sravana-an auspicious month for us, specially for ladies. This is the time when we worship Goddess Lakshmi and Mangala Gauri for wealth, prosperity and family well being. Ladies buy new clothes, jewellery etc. Newly married women start their "Vratha" or Pooja (special Rituals) which they have to do for 5 years.

So keeping that in view I am designing some unique pieces. Here is one of them;

This is made of sand stone beads, small gold(plated) beads and Lakshmi lockets(gold plated). I have used wire so that the necklace stays stiff and also if you see closely I have looped at the ends. I have used dori or thread at the back with rings, which can be adjusted to suit the size of our necks. The sand stone necklace can be removed and some other creation can be added to the same dori to match your dress. I am making such changeable jewellery.

Aadi to start next sunday!

The holy month of Aadi dedicated to Sri Andal and various Amman temples is set to start next Sunday. It also marks the start of Dakshinayanam which would run till Thai Pongal (Uthrayanam) sometime in January.

So we have a week more to prepare ourselves for a spiritual journey ahead. A week more to practice to relinquish the unethical things that are clinging on us. After all, practice makes a person perfect!

Let us start it with a small prayer to Thiruverkadu Sri Karumari Amman here.

Films dealing with life-altering epiphanies are always shot in stunning locations. And Hindi films dealing with the same, need a stunning cast as well. A possible rationale: beautiful places relieve stress and bring things into perspective. And beautiful people experiencing divine realizations can hold your perspective on the screen, often resulting in a 'ka-ching' sound at the box office. 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' (ZNMD) is one such film.
In true 'Hangover' meets Vikas-Krishna-Barcelona spirit, the film deals with a bachelor adventure marinated with stories of finding, losing and forgetting love. Kabir (Abhay Deol), an affluent construction tycoon is about to take the marital plunge. But not before he completes a much-postponed trip with school buddies, investment banker (and constantly grumpy) Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) and freestyle flirt Imraan (Farhan Akhtar).
So, the boys with biceps shoot off to Spain, a land where sunny means a summery glow and not sweaty and stinky, much like an AC studio in Mahalaxmi. Now, the deal is that each would pick a secret adventure sport and the others would have to join him at it.

The problem arises when Kabir's fiancé, poisonously possessive Natasha (Kalki Koechlin) lands up in Spain suspecting a wild orgy (don't get your hopes up, there aren't any). Soon, Kabir takes over as grumpy and Arjun finds hope underwater, as spunky skiing instructor Laila (Katrina Kaif) shows him corals and also offers morals like 'seize the day' and 'live in the moment for you could die tomorrow'. These prophetic pearls of wisdom (from the rough draft of Guzaarish 2?) pierce through Kabir and he realizes how he cherishes things besides money. 25 Congress MLAs resign over Jagan inquiry

Twenty five of Congress MLAs have resigned from the Andhra Pradesh Assembly over the investigation against Jagan Mohan Reddy. While the Congress still holds a majority of the 294 seats, the revolt will affect party morale and fuel the notion that Jagan Mohan exerts significant pull over its partymen in his home state.<br> <br>What has fuelled the masse resignation is the fact that Jagan's father, popular Congress leader YSR Reddy, has been named in the formal complaint filed against Jagan Mohan by the CBI. The investigating agency is trying to prove that when YSR was Chief Minister, he used public offices to favour companies who thanked him by investing in Jagan's companies at massive premiums.<br> <br>Jagan Mohan is one of India's wealthiest politicians. His empire includes a vernacular newspaper, a TV channel, a cement plant and a power project, and is estimated to be worth more than a few hundred crores. Earlier this year, he declared assets amounting to 365
crores.<br> <br>YSR died in September 2009 while he was still Chief Minister. The months that followed witnessed several acts of rebellion by Jagan against the Congress, which chose not to appoint him his father's successor. He quit the party with his mother last year, and has formed the YSR Congress.<br> <br>The complaint against him has been filed by a minister in the current government, P Shanker Rao.<br><br>Jagan Mohan has accused the Congress of using courts to "witch-hunt."
