Joint CSIR-UGC Test For JRF And Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) 

The UGC (University Grants Commission) has a bureau called National Educational Testing Bureau which performs NET (National Eligibility Test) to verify eligibility of lectureship and to award JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) to Indian nationals. It also ensures minimum research and teaching profession standards. The Test is performed in subjects like Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, Environmental Sciences, Forensic Science, Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences.
